Principal's Message

Lee Claypool
Elementary Principal

As the fair begins to wind down, I get excited knowing I will soon see all my Triad kiddos!

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and that you plan to take full advantage of these last few days to rest, play, and recharge for our new school year.  I cannot wait to see everyone, and I hope you are able to come to our Open House on Tuesday, August 21st from 4:00-5:30 p.m.  This evening will be a great time to drop off your child's school supplies, say "hi" to his/her teacher, pay school fees, place money on your child's lunch account, and get answers to any last minute questions before school begins on Wednesday, August 22, 2018.  Mr. Matt Mayberry, our transportation supervisor, will be available at our open house to answer any transportation questions or concerns you may have.  Please be sure to stop by the office, if you don't see me in the hallways, and say, "Hello!"

"Welcome Back to School" letters have been placed in the mail today (Thursday, August 9th).  If you do not receive this letter by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, please do not hesitate to call the elementary office at (937) 826-3102 and speak to Michelle McConnell.

Don't forget the FREE event, "Cool Tools 4 School" being held at the North Lewisburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 15th from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Free food, free school supplies, free haircuts, free access to immunizations, and more will be available, so I hope to see you there!

The start of school is exciting for many, but the start of school can also cause anxiety and be downright scary for some kiddos!  Please take a moment to access an article entitled, "How Can I Help My Child Cope with Anxiety About Going Back to School?" by John Piacentini, Ph.D. on my Lee Principal facebook page to see how you can assist your child if he/she is a little nervous as the new school year begins.

I know together we will Aspire, Act, and Achieve during the 2018-2019 school year!  GO CARDS!

Educationally yours,

Lee Ann Claypool
